Learn how the SBA’s Emerging Leaders program can help you take your business to the next level. The SBA’s Michigan District Office has offered this opportunity to urban-based small business owners for 11 years, at no cost to you. If you are looking for a structured program that gives you resources and tools to build your business, then join us on January 18th. Emerging Leaders classes begin in late April and ends in early November (schedule will be set soon). Throughout the course of the program, you will write a three year strategic plan that is tailored to your business. And you will be introduced to a network of business experts that can help you as you implement your plan.
If you meet the criteria listed here, you could be one of 20 business owners selected.
You must have a minimum of $400,000 in annual sales but not more than $10 million.
You have been in business for at least three years.
Your business has at least one employee in addition to you as the owner.
Your business is a for profit entity. The person participating in the program must be the CEO, COO, CFO, Owner, or President and be a key decision maker.
You will agree to commit to a total of 100 hours of programming, including 40 hours of classroom training, seven CEO mentoring meetings, and course work assignments. Because Emerging Leaders is funded by the Small Business Administration, there is no charge to you.
